Lerno is a family business in market gardening, located in the Belgian municipality called Zele. We started our activities in 1990 with 1 hectare of darkened potted chrysanthemums.

In 1995 Lerno expanded its activities and started cultivating hyacinths for Christmas and the Tête à Tête daffodils for Easter.

Initially the company cultivated its chrysanthemums in 19 cm pots, but gradually they switched over from this traditional size to the 15 cm pots.

			Today Lerno covers a total surface of 10 hectares on which each year close on 500.000 bulbs are cultivated. But darkened potted chrysanthemums still are the company's main activity.
